Intended Use
Brick Sealer is intended for:
- Reducing rainwater absorption in brickwork
- Preventing moisture penetration through masonry
- Limiting efflorescence and water staining
- Protecting external brick façades
- Maintaining breathable wall construction
It is suitable for new and existing masonry where appearance must remain unchanged.
Suitable Substrates
Brick Sealer may be applied to:
- Face brick
- Clay brick
- Concrete block
- Masonry façades
- Porous mineral substrates
Suitability depends on porosity, surface condition, and moisture content.
Functional Characteristics
- Penetrating, non-film-forming treatment
- Chemically bonds within masonry pore walls
- Repels liquid water
- Allows water vapour transmission
- Maintains natural appearance
- Does not alter surface texture
Performance depends on penetration depth and correct application.
Application Method
Brick Sealer is applied by low-pressure spray or roller to clean, dry masonry.
Typical process:
- Surface cleaned and free of contaminants
- Applied evenly until refusal
- Excess removed from non-absorbent surfaces
- Allowed to penetrate and cure within the substrate
Application rate varies depending on substrate porosity.
